Exeter Senior Voice

Exeter Senior Voice is a democratic organisation working out of Age Concern Exeter but managed by and for local older people. We have 300 members ... and we'd like more!

Our aim is to ensure that older people's voices are heard when it comes to developing local services.
Anyone aged sixty or over is welcome to join Senior Voice. We especially seek membership from older people whose voices are less likely to be heard - for instance people over 75, people who are disabled or living with long term conditions.

We cover any issues of interest to older people, from health and social care to community safety and transport. Our elected Panel of 12 older people meet monthly to manage day to day business and decide on priorities for action.

What does it mean to be a member?

We consult our members on a wide range of topics every three months. The topics are suggested by our members or local agencies. There are sometimes opportunities to get involved in other ways as well - for instance attending meetings - but this is certainly not "expected"!

We repay all costs associated with your involvement and arrange free transport for meetings when needed.
