There are many different types of dementia, each with their own causes. The most common dementia symptoms include loss of memory, confusion, and changes in personality, mood and behaviour.
People can have different experiences of how it affects them, however there are some similarities and it can be very beneficial to talk to others who are experiencing life the way you are and with whom you can talk to about your fears, your hopes and your daily life.
This service is supported by Exeter Alzheimers Society with Age Concern Exeter and anyone who would like to talk, meet up and get some support is welcome to call Pat Criddle on 202092.
Pat can visit you at home, meet up with you in the City and can offer to call you weekly to find out how things are. She also organizes a monthly tea party for families to get together.
