The Lane Club
The Lane Club offers the opportunities for people with a more progressed dementia to come and spend time with quallified and caring staff for the day for up to four times a week.
It is a small group of 5 people and each has a staff or experienced volunteer to support them in participating in activities or individual pursuits. The day is structured but can be very flexible at the same time to encourage a very individualised approach to enabling people to express their own desires and requests.
The Lane Club is attached to Arthur Roberts Residential Home on Burnthouse Lane.
The Carers Support Service is also closely linked to The Lane Club.
